Text that stays right to left.

In Arabic the letters join, and each letter changes shape depending on where it sits in the word. Inksight reads the whole word, and the text stays right to left in the editor and in every file you save.

Business paperwork

Arabic and Latin on one page

OCR that ends in a document.

The original stays visible while you review the result. Nothing is hidden behind a download until you know the page was understood.

Handwriting recognition across 50+ languages.

Scan Latin-script notes in English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, and more, as well as Arabic, Hebrew, Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and other supported scripts. Language is detected from the page—there is no selector to configure first.

Recognition quality varies with handwriting, image clarity, page angle, and document structure. Review important names and numbers before using an export.

Before you scan a page.

Can OCR read handwritten Arabic?

Yes, but it is harder than Latin script. The letters join, they change shape by position, and short vowels are usually left out. Inksight reads the whole line instead of single shapes, which is what makes joined writing readable. Check names and numbers before you use the result.

Does the file I download stay right to left?

Yes. Word, PDF and text files are written right to left with the correct letter shapes, so the file reads the way your page does.

Do I have to choose Arabic first?

No. The language is picked up from the page itself. There is nothing to set.

What about tashkeel, the small vowel marks?

It writes what is on the page. A page with full vowel marks usually keeps them. A page without them stays without them, and no vowels are invented.

Does it read printed Arabic too?

Yes, and one page can hold both printed and handwritten Arabic. You do not need to split it into two uploads.

Is it free?

Your first ten pages on the web are free, exports included. After that Inksight still reads the page and shows you a locked preview, so you can see the result before you pick a plan.

Other ways to use Inksight.

Every tool uses the same OCR and the same document library, so a page you scan here opens anywhere else you sign in.
